Life is short, so why spend days doing something you don’t love to do? For many people, a third of our hours we spend working. For some people, this number is higher and for some lower. Regardless, why spend those hours doing something that is not thrilling? It’s time to stop wasting time doing things we don’t want to do. If we stop loving it, we should stop doing it. For many, it’s easier to say than do. Let us see how to get the best of both worlds.
There are bad days in every profession. It doesn’t mean to quit when things get bad or tough. Long-term growth is born from some shorter struggles. But when a problem becomes chronic and you dread getting up in the morning consider your alternatives.
If you stop loving it, stop doing it.
If we don’t love something, we shouldn’t imminently stop doing it. We’re never going to love everything that we do. But we can help ourselves if even a little. Sometimes we don’t realize we love a thing until we get deeper into it. After some time we realize that we love what we are doing. We must make sure that is a feeling of love and not an obligation.
Sure, there is some security to what you’re doing. Many who have taken the plunge and traded financial security for mental and emotional security will say there’s nothing like peace of mind. Money isn’t everything, and sometimes it’s nothing. Don’t trade your freedom for unhappiness and a little security. Also remember that if you don’t feel uncomfortable once in a while, you are not giving yourself enough opportunity for growth. Be happy, love what you do, and grow.
Enjoy your day, hopefully, doing something you love.
