At times, everybody is a critic. There’s plenty of advice to go around and plenty of people to try to knock another down. There is, however, absolutely no questioning a result.
Know a person who is unhappy with their life? Does that person try to suck everybody else into the vortex that they are? How are that person’s results? Do they blame every person and thing for their crummy results, besides themselves? The results are clear.
How are you? Happy? Satisfied and productive? Do you have plenty of positive results to show for your efforts? There is still no arguing with these outcomes, despite what people want to say.
Like the same way you should never take the advice of a person whose never been in your shoes, we shouldn’t look to model the people who get no result or only a bad result.
That is, of course, unless we’d like our result to be similar to those people.
It’s the person who prevents their own goal to lose weight. The person who impedes their own goal to make more money or spend less money. It’s the person who guarantees that they are going to be more effective in the way they conduct themselves.
Nobody is perfect, but the last person who should sabotage us at every turn is us. Some can’t seem to get out of their own way, and they’ll do whatever it is to lower the people around them to their level. Often this is done to justify their own behaviors.
But you’ll stand tall. After all, you get results. And you get results that you are satisfied with. Other people benefit from your results the same way that you benefit from your results. It’s a great way to live and a great way to help other people.
Let the simpletons wallow in self-pity until they decide to join the club. You won’t change them anyways, that’s already been proven by thirty years of other people trying.
Do your best and enjoy the ride.
